Hope this finds you
in fine spirits.

Since you have relocated from
planet earth
things haven’t been
the same here.

Springtime is
officially no
longer a season.

No butterflies.
No flowers.
No nothing.

The heart doesn’t quicken.
The moon light doesn’t
scald the skin anymore.
The wind is no longer
a sigh of pleasure.

As usual, you have taken the
weather with you.

I am healthy.
My neck and arms
are mostly
bite and scratch free
nowadays.

I have stopped sleeping
like a baby, though.
And stopped smiling
in my sleep.

Writing poems is
becoming easier.
The misery is helping, I guess.

So between writing and
day dreaming about you
and getting singed
by an early and unwelcome
summer,
I am pretty lonely .

I miss your mouth.
